Happy faces were everywhere at SSMCI’s 2010 Summer Picnic!  Over 100 people attended the annual event and great food, fun activities and fantastic weather made for an enjoyable day at Tournament Park next to the Cal Tech campus in Pasadena.  Children were treated to the performances of magician Minh Tran and Gil the Clown, got plenty of exercise in the “bouncy house” and got thoroughly soaked in the water relay and water balloon toss (as did many of the adults).  Mischelle Shoots took the grand prize in the Dessert Bake-off and the day was capped off with raffle prizes to Dodger games, Six Flags, AMC theaters and other events.

SSMCI’s in-house project management training series resumed with a presentation from Anita Freeman, retired Vice President of Parsons Corporation.  Ms. Freeman shared her “lessons learned” from managing domestic and international projects over her long and illustrious career and provided valuable advice to our project management staff.  Project management staff from our client’s organizations were invited and we were pleased that many were able to attend.
