Simpson & Simpson provided project/construction management and project control services for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Center redevelopment project. This design-build project consisted of renovating the existing 5-story Inpatient Tower and ancillary buildings, upgrading the Central Plant and constructing a new Multi-service Ambulatory Care Center (MACC). The 4-story, 132,000 square-foot MACC contains five operating rooms, dentistry, oncology, and physical and occupational therapy services. Also Included in the project was a new parking structure, ten acres of surface lot parking and landscaping, and offsite signalization and street improvements.
