The Hall of Justice Receives Industry Award
Posted March 25, 2015
The Los Angeles County Hall of Justice is a historical landmark building constructed in 1925 that was forced to close its doors as the result of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. The newly restored and strengthened Hall of Justice now provides 300,000 square feet of office space that serves as the headquarters for both the Los Angeles County Sheriff and the District Attorney. The Hall of Justice received the prestigious “2014 Project of the Year” award from the CMAA Southern California Chapter at their annual awards banquet held on March 25 at the JW Marriott hotel at LA Live. Simpson & Simpson is proud to have been part of the County’s management team for this project that will receive a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification and is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. It was also honored with the 2014 Best Project Award by the Southern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
