Located 45 miles north of Los Angeles in the high-desert town of Agua Dulce, the Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park consists of nearly 1000 acres of spectacular rock formations. The LA County Parks and Recreation Department opened the doors to the park’s new Interpretive Center facility in March. The facility includes a museum for interpretive exhibits, a multi-purpose room, staff offices, restroom facilities and entry plaza. The Interpretive Center project, which achieved LEED Platinum certification, also included the historical restoration and adaptive reuse of the Park Ranger’s residence. Simpson & Simpson provided project and construction management services for this $9.7 million project.
