LA County Fire Station #150 breaks ground

Representatives from the LA County Fire Department, City of Santa Clarita and County Supervisor Mike Antonovich were on hand June 17th for the ground-breaking ceremony of Fire Station #150 in Santa Clarita. Located on a 2-acre site adjacent to Freeway 14, this is one of six fire stations being built in the Santa Clarita Valley and will serve as the Battalion Headquarters overseeing five other stations. The 20,000 square foot facility will provide state-of-the-art equipment and living quarters for ten shift personnel. At completion, this fire station will provide improved fire protection and emergency medical services to the expanding community of Santa Clarita.
Simpson & Simpson is providing project and construction management services for this $12.5 million fire station which is designed to achieve a LEED Silver rating.
